Welcome to Room 9 and 9a's blog for 2020. We are an energetic Year 0 and 1 class and our teachers are Mrs Burge, Miss Robertson and Mrs Harding. We are looking forward to working together and learning lots of exciting and new things this year! Check our blog regularly to see what we have been up to. We would love to read your comments.
Tohu and I want to thank you for your message today Miss Robertson and we were so excited to see your avocado plant. We wish it was strawberry season so that we could grow our own strawberries.
Thank you Miss Robertson! I can't wait to start school in the classroom with you and my new friends! This morning I planted some parsley with my Mum - I can't wait to see if it grows!
Great to hear from you Issy! Well done getting in the garden, it is really exciting to see your plants grow, especially if you get to eat them too!! Make sure you take a photo and send it to me :)
You and your Mum have inspired me to plant an avocado seed. My Mum and I really enjoy eating avocado so it would be lovely to have our own tree! I am super excited now! I might go and do that right now! From Mrs Burge
Congratulations on your avocado plant, I am also inspired!
Have you checked out the yellow challenge button on the Maths slide yet? Today's challenge is all about counting a large group of things in your house or garden. I would love to see how you count these and what you choose. Click on the yellow button or this link mathsblogshs2020.blogspot.com to see more details. Have a happy day, from Mrs Madden
Hi miss Robertson, good pick of plant! Kyan and I are currently watering my two mushroom sticks and they grow pretty well. this week i will send some photos of that and it is quite interesting to observe the process of growing, especially for Kyan. Can't wait to see your avocado plant growing in the future. Happy week ahead:)
Hi Miss Robertson, Oliva and I thought your avocado plant looked amazing. So today Olivia wanted to have a go at growing her own avocado plant. We will keep you posted on how it goes. Have a wonderful week Olivia & Nyrelle
Great news! We look forward to seeing how you go! Check out the slides later on as there will be a short video from Mrs Robertson (my mum) explaining how to prepare your avocado seed to grow into a plant. Happy growing!
Wow fantastic Miss Robertson! Mrs Edmonds has tried to grow an avocado seed like yours before but it didn't survive because when I moved it outside into the garden I think it got too cold and turned brown and went rotten. I hope yours grows to be a healthy BIG tree!
Happy Tuesday Room 9 and 9a and welcome to Isabel! I hope you are enjoying the start of your Sunnyhills learning journey. From Miss Stuhlmann
