Term 3 Week 1

Wow! Already Term 3!!

It's great to have you all back at school and hear about the wonderful things you all got up to in the holidays.

On Monday we had 6 new children join Room 9 and 6.

They have settled in super fast, joining in and making friends with the other children in the class.

Fay has made lots of friends and already knows where to put her book bag! She has made a great start to school and we are excited to have her as part of Room 9 and 9a.

This week we welcomed Vincy and Sanuli into Room 9.

Noah has already made lots of friends in Room 9 and 9a and is joining in with all our favourite songs and learning.

We have been using playdough to help our letter formation and writing on whiteboards to practise our alphabet.

We have started our Little Learners Love Literacy programme this week. We have been learning how to write and make the sound of the letters m, s, and f.

Welcome to our new friends Nick and Eve!

This week we welcomed two new students to Room 9.

Nick and Eve have had a fantastic first few days in Room 9 an 9a.

They have been joining in with our morning songs and making lots of friends already!

Today we welcomed Hazel to our class!

Welcome to Room 9a - Day 1 February 3rd 2020!

We had lots of fun in Room 9a today. 

First of all we sang some songs. We really enjoyed Tufa Tafa! That is a class favourite.

We walked around the school to find the important things like the toilets, the field and the boat playground.

We got to know all of the Year 1 and 2 teachers during our Koru Whanau assembly in the Koru courtyard. 

We did the letter s in phonics and made some awesome sun art.

 We have Mrs Burge and Miss Robertson as our teachers.

Miss Moa is a 3rd Year student teacher who will be with us for 3 weeks, then 2 more weeks in June, then 5 weeks in September!

We are so lucky to have so many wonderful teachers. Mr Smith worked with us today too!
