Room 9 makes face masks out of socks!

On Monday Room 9 were learning about good germs and bad germs. Sometimes we might need to wear a mask to keep us away from the bad germs so we made face masks!

We didn't need a sewing machine or even any fabric! We used socks and scissors to make these! 

Mrs Harding kindly donated a whole bag full of odd socks that had lost their other half and don't worry they were all clean!! 😁

 

Germs!

On Wednesday Mrs Harding taught us about germs and how they get into our bodies...

We did an experiement using water, glitter and soap...

We used the glitter to act as the germs in water.

When we put our finger in the water the glitter stuck to our finger!!

When we put soap on our finger and tried again look what happens to the glitter!!! (germs)

We are learning how important it is to keep clean and wash our hands regularly.
